Horseshoe Tavern was born from a shared passion for creating celebrations that feel personal, effortless, and unforgettable. Founded by Tara Nixon and Chelsea Burges, we bring together wedding planning, event coordination, creative design, and our signature vintage mobile bar to create beautifully considered celebrations from start to finish. From intimate gatherings to large-scale events, we believe every detail matters, and that the experience should be just as memorable as the occasion itself.

How Horseshoe Tavern Came to Be
Sometimes the best business ideas start with a wedding and a conversation over the last dance.Tara and Chelsea met in 2024 when Tara hired Chelsea to plan her wedding. Over the course of planning, they quickly became more than client and planner. By the time the wedding day arrived, they had become friends who talked practically every day.
So, on Tara's wedding night, she asked the question: “What are we going to do now that we aren't going to talk every day?”
Chelsea's answer changed everything: “Do you want to go into business together?”
One month later, they bought a vintage horse trailer, and Horseshoe Tavern was born.
What started as a spontaneous idea quickly became a shared passion and a business built around everything they love—beautiful design, thoughtful planning, great cocktails, and most importantly, bringing people together. Today, Tara and Chelsea combine their experience, creativity, and complementary strengths to create celebrations that are beautifully planned, expertly coordinated, and unforgettable.
